The District and Sessions Judge of Bannu formally inaugurated the Law Department at the University of Science and Technology Bannu by cutting the ribbon. On this occasion, a ceremony was held in honor of the students of the Law Department, where speakers emphasized the promotion of justice.


A prestigious event was organized at the University of Science and Technology Bannu to welcome the newly enrolled students of the Law Department. The ceremony was attended by key dignitaries from the judiciary, legal fraternity, and university administration. The District and Sessions Judge, Muhammad Naseem Khan, graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jehanzaib Khan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Khan, Director Admissions Dr. Nasir Gul, Director IMS Dr. Niaz Khan, Youth Development Center Focal Person Muhammad Haroon, Advocate Hamid Khan, Haji Shabeeb Khan, Dr. Zubair, Assistant Officer Faheem Khan, Prof. Dr. Asad Khan Wazir, Prof. Dr. Rehmatullah Khan, Dr. Riaz, and President High Court Bar Association Hafiz Haneef Advocate, along with other officers and lawyers, were also present.


Addressing the ceremony, Dean Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Khan stated that the establishment of the Law Department at Bannu University is the result of the personal efforts of former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Zahid Akram Khan Durrani, who played a key role not only in the approval of this project but also in the completion of all its documentation.


District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Naseem Khan said that without legal education and the promotion of justice, true development in any society is impossible. If the justice system is strong, nations naturally progress. With the establishment of the Law Department at the university, students of the region will now have access to high-quality legal education at their doorstep. He further noted that the Law Department’s close proximity to the Judicial Complex will provide students with practical learning opportunities and firsthand exposure to the judicial system.


Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jehanzaib Khan stated that the University of Science and Technology Bannu is committed to providing quality education, research, and facilities across all disciplines, and the initiation of the Law Department is a prime example of this commitment—aimed at offering students a modern academic environment under one roof.


At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants received a detailed briefing on the department’s future goals, infrastructure, and teaching strategies.
